I have recently noticed that I have a white/yellow mucous like sludge that is gathering on the roof of the clear coolant reservoir tank that is at the back of the engine. When I unscrew the cap I see can see this sludge. I have also noticed a dark layer of liquid floating on top of the coolant.

And no, I change oil every 8,000 miles. with Mobil 1 0w-40. When I added more oil in it about 2-3 weeks ago, I set it at half on the dipstick. And when I looked at it today, it was still at a half.
