WebFeb 25, 2024 · The DeWalt line of tools uses a 20 volt battery, whereas the Makita line uses an 18 volt. I've got one friend (a builder) who swears by Makita, and another homesteady-type friend who has great things to say about DeWalt. WebI also got rid of the DeWalt 20v Corded/Battery powered wet/dry vac in favor of Milwaukee’s 18v wet/dry vac. “Sucks” much better, and I liked the attachment and hose storage over the DeWalt. I don’t think I’ll upgrade my DeWalt cordless hammer drill any time soon. I guess, in-short, there’s good offerings from both companies.
