WebTopic: Running Total "Sum" option is missing. Posted: 28 May 2009 at 6:07pm. I'm designing a simple Crystal Report in VB/VS.NET 2005. I am using an a datatable (filled with XML) as my datasource. I am trying to sum my Week To Date sales column. But whenever, I add "running total", to the Group Footer, I don't get "Sum" in the dropdown. WebJul 27, 2010 · Posted: 07 May 2007 at 7:06pm. As EscApe said, you can't pass a running total to the group header area. The running total gets calculated as the detail section is being printed. Thus, the group header has already been printed prior to the running total even being calculated. So if you put it in the group header then it will always be zero.
